Terms and Conditions for Horses Inspiring Humans



1. Agreement to Terms

By participating in Equine Activities offered by Horses Inspiring Humans, you, the participant, agree to these Terms and Conditions. These terms govern your use of our services and participation in all related activities.

 

2. Services Provided

Horse/pony petting, dressing up, riding. Equine Assisted Learning sessions are experiential learning programs designed to promote personal development, skill-building, and restorative outcomes through interaction with horses. These sessions are not a substitute for medical or psychological treatment unless explicitly provided by a licensed professional.

 

3. Participation Requirements

Participants must complete a signed waiver (see Forms page on website), prior to attending sessions.

Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian complete the form and accompany them during specified sessions, if required.

All medical conditions, disabilities, or relevant health concerns must be disclosed in advance to ensure a safe and supportive environment. (See Client Information Form)

 

4. Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to follow all instructions provided by staff to ensure their safety and the well-being of the horses.

Disruptive, aggressive, or unsafe behaviour may result in the immediate termination of the session without a refund.

Respect for the horses, staff, and other participants is mandatory at all times.

 

5. Clothing and Equipment

Participants must wear suitable clothing and closed-toe shoes during sessions.

Helmets and other protective equipment will be provided and must be worn as directed.

 

6. Payment and Refund Policy

Payment for sessions must be made at the time of booking.

Refunds will only be provided if cancellations are made at least 48 hours in advance (or at the discretion of the business owners.)

Late arrivals or no-shows may forfeit their session fee without refund.

 

7. Safety and Liability

Working with horses involves inherent risks. While we prioritise safety, participants acknowledge and accept these risks by signing the liability waiver.

Horses Inspiring Humans will not be held responsible for accidents, injuries, or losses except in cases of proven negligence.


8. Confidentiality

Personal information shared during sessions will be treated as confidential and used solely for the purposes of service delivery.

Group sessions - participants are expected to maintain confidentiality regarding other participants’ experiences.

  

9. Cancellation and Rescheduling

Sessions may be rescheduled or cancelled due to inclement weather, horse health, or other unforeseen circumstances. Clients will be notified as soon as possible and offered a rescheduled date or full refund.

If a participant cancels a session, refunds or credits will follow the cancellation policy outlined above.

 

10. Media Release

Photographs or videos may be taken during sessions for promotional purposes. Consent for this use will be requested in advance. Participants can opt out by notifying staff.

 

11. Amendments

We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time.
